Provenance for discovery is limited to documenting technology used in the creation of the dataset and documening other datasets (datasets) that were inputs to the content of the described resource.
Identify sensors, instruments, platforms, software, algorithms etc. used in the creation of the described resource

as discussed today in PIDINST WG meeting.
This section https://docs.pidinst.org/en/latest/white-paper/linking-datasets.html#schema-org with Event approach may be "outdated" at some stage.
