Use "pkg-config --exists" to selectively fall back to direct -l flags #274

Currently, if any library doesn't have a pkg-config file, all libraries will be translated to direct -lXXX flags. Using the --exists switch, it would be possible to determine the exact set of libraries that need the fallback.
