Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Visible history often becomes too dense over very short histories to be helpful.

Describe the solution you'd like
Have an additional parameter to set a stride for the visible history. That would enable to only show every nth entry in the history.

Another concrete use-case for this is decimation / or down-sampling within plots.
