All CPD programs take a different set of arguments. In particular, they take different numbers and types of input and output files. Knowing which arguments are input and output files for a given program will enable:

  • Automatic overwriting of output files
  • Reading from and writing to Max buffer~ objects
  • Conversion of non-audio files to a Max-native format to pass between multiple cdp objects
