Stale branches

Sorry I don't completely get why are all the branches stale but master.

I'm having the problem that I tried to fork the repository but then because the branches are stale, they don't appear in my repo even if I tried to pull or to fetch all.

The solution I found is cloning directly the repository, but for me it makes no sense that forking is not allowed to proceed with the udemy course.
