hi,

sip's building method and its usage are changed in version 5 and 6, to make the current documentation work, only version 4.19.x works.

This compatibility should be mentioned clearly because version 5 or 6 will not work.

The real solution here is to just get rid of sip completely, and switch over to using shiboken exclusively. There is an open issue tracking this in ros-visualization/python_qt_binding#114 . I'm going to put this on the list to look at for Jazzy, hopefully we'll have some time.
