Issue

I have enabled confirmed opt-in, and the functionality itself is working (web-to-lead form, confirmation emails, confirmation via the embedded link, emails sent only to confirmed addresses). However the UI is missing some of the related items described in the documentation.

Expected Behavior

UI matches documentation:

  • "An additional Opt In checkbox will be visible in Detail and Edit views for email address fields in Contacts, Leads and Targets."
  • "Opt In, Confirmed Opt In and Pending Confirmed Opt In status will be visible in List view for records in these modules."
  • "Email addresses which have had their opt in status confirmed are indicated by a double green tick."
  • "If you have Confirmed Opt In configured, confirmation emails can be sent/resent manually, either in bulk or individually."

Actual Behavior

  • I don't see an "Opt In" checkbox anywhere.
  • My initial login dashboard, showing "My Leads" at the bottom, does show the proper checkmarks (grey, single, or double) depending on the confirmation status. However, nowhere else do the checkmarks or any other indication of confirmation status appear (including Leads list, detail, or edit views).
  • Menu items to resend the confirmation email do not appear anywhere (single item or bulk edit).

Possible Fix

Not sure.

Steps to Reproduce

Not sure. I don't see anything interesting in the logs either.

Context

Since I can see the checkmarks via My Leads, it is not a high priority for me, but I want to make sure I don't have something wrong in my environment.

I'll open a separate request for an RFE to have an option to manually enter a user's confirmation (which as far as I know is not currently supported). This would be useful when the user has trouble clicking the confirmation link for whatever reason, but is able to confirm verbally via email.
