Spice up your fiction and nonfiction with more attention focused on the natural world. This workshop outlines the basic elements of nature, including the nonliving components such as air, water and rock, as well as the living components such as plants, animals and other kinds of wildlife. From butterflies to basalt, add color and texture to your story by bringing in the natural world. Writing prompts included.
Bio
Michele Roest is a biologist and naturalist with a lifelong love for the Central Coast. Michele has more than 20 years of experience as a curriculum developer and science educator. She teaches biology classes at Cal Poly and leads the popular California Naturalist Course through Cuesta Community Programs. She's been a volunteer leader for the Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival. Michele has been a contributing writer for local publications, including the Cambrian newspaper and the California 101 Travelers Guide.
