New version of amqp deployed today 1.5.0, breaks client mq connection

I have hosts that work with amqp (1.3.0) but any host with amqp (1.5.0) is getting this error:
"level":"error","message":"[amqp] Detected TCP connection failure"}

How can I prevent sensu manifest from deploying 1.5.0?

I have sensu using embedded ruby.
/opt/sensu/embedded/bin/ruby -v
ruby 2.0.0p353 (2013-11-22 revision 43784) [x86_64-linux]
