Currently we are using the 3.7.3 version of the SDK (upstream is 3.7.7) and a custom static version of AUWrapper.
The wrapper doesn't build with new SDK and who made this change is not currently available.
The modification was made because the original wrapper was (and maybe still is) including .vst3 resources and a refcount issue.
It could be nice to find a person helping to maintain the macOS port.
