This repository is used by the SIMET team to help track the base firmware used in SIMETBOX images. Normal users are encouraged to work directly off the upstream openwrt/* repository, instead.
This repository may include hardware enablement support for equipments sold in Brazil that are not yet present upstream, or unacceptable for upstream.

Currently, SIMETBOX images are based in the OpenWRT "Chaos Calmer" release (chaos_calmer branch). However, this is now considered a legacy version of the SIMETBOX stack.
All production work is being done on both the lede-17.01 and master branches. This may change in the future. Currently, we consider the lede-17.01 the more stable branch of the stack, so it is set as the default.
The chaos_calmer branch comes from a different remote than openwrt/openwrt, i.e. from openwrt/chaos_calmer (cloned also at simetnicbr/openwrt-chaos_calmer).
The branches (especially master) may be rewound/rebased when appropriate (e.g. because of still-in-development hardware support that has not been accepted upstream yet, sourced from third parties).
