Please note, that firmware numbering is not used as a continuation. 2.x stands for a brand new one and is not continuation of 0.X versions:

• the firmware of so-called version 0.X is available online for edits and use, please find it here.
• the firmware of so-called version 2.x is not a continuation of 0.X, but developed from scratch. Sequential numbering is kept for the convenience of users preventing confusion what is what.

So users have options to use any options based on their preferences. Please also note, some features (for example, new layout etc), developed in or for 2.x version, could be used in/shared with 0.x version, initially.
