  • I have also used the search function for CLOSED issues to see if the feature was already implemented and is just waiting to be released, or if the feature was rejected.
  • I will describe the problem with as much detail as possible.
  • This request contains only one single feature, not a list of multiple (related) features.

F-Droid

Feature or improvement you want

Add an "About" section.

Why should this be added?

Maybe I'm completely blind and missed where it is despite checking several times; an "about" section is quite common to get several information, links and so on; for my part I check this first for application version to report issues. Instead here I had to check package manager or system's applications list to find this information.

To be clear. You mean an about section in the app? Like in settings or something?

Author

Yes, either in the three dots menu, either in settings. Rather the latter than the former.
Which would include basic information like version, URL to the website, to the repo, author(s) and so on.

Bonus points if you can copy every information you need in bugs reports from there, even more bonus points if user ends up in a pre-filled form for people who would do that from their phone (for my part I'm still more comfortable filling bug reports from my computer :) )
