We need to decide which fields to investigate and under which conditions.

Likely source candidates:

  • Eta Carinae (given the complexity of the field)
  • Something in the galactic plane (Vela Pulsar was my first guess, galactic centre region might be a bit too messy as it's got multiple gamma-ray sources)
  • Somewhere where the NSB is likely to be dominant. Totally empty field perhaps? Tycho?
  • One of the Markarians to potentially match data from the ASTRI site

Likely different observing conditions, both need to be investigated using observing time calculators :

  • Different source zenith angles
  • Different moonlight levels
