Flat view

Please describe the problem you're trying to solve

in a lot of file managers there the concept of flat view as described in: https://www.xyplorer.com/release_10.60.php

essentially it allows you to view the contents of all subfolders of a folder in one list.

this is a temporary view (meaning it doesn't the actual file/folder locations) but it allows you to perform actions as if it's one folder.

For example you have the following structure for your plex:

TV-Series/Name-of-1/Season-1/file-1.mp4
TV-Series/Name-of-1/Season-1/file-2.mp4
TV-Series/Name-of-1/Season-2/file-1.mp4
TV-Series/Name-of-1/Season-2/file-2.mp4

and by flattening out the view you can see:

file-1.mp4
file-2.mp4
file-1.mp4
file-2.mp4

one advantage of this view is you can rename all the files in one go.

a more advanced task would be to move some of them around (xyplorer asks you whether to preserve or flatten the dir structure if you move files around)

copy the flat view solution from xyplorer or directory opus or the branched view solution from total commander
