I've used the component a lot inside Symfony2, never standalone but I will do my best!

@ricardclau I think it's safe to say that I was wrong and you can start writing it! Good luck and create a WIP as soon as you can, so I can review your work 'on the fly' :)

No worries, it's great you want to do this. It's one of the last missing component docs and it's great to know someone is working on it.

Hi @wouterj, to be honest I haven´t had much time to work on it. I do want to do it, that is for sure, it´s just that this moving to another country, new job, etc... is taking a lot of my spare time :(

This was started at #3710, but Wouter didn't have time to finish. BUT, he's invited anyone to continue by building off of his work.

Anyone willing to work on it ? It is important to have doc for all components IMO.

I agree - Validator strikes me as a component that is quite usable standalone anyways - I would also like this.

The docs finally made it into the repo thanks to the work of many people (see the result in #6798).
