I wanted to put out a general update that there are a lot of exciting new updates to the Dumbarton theme in the works. If you've had the chance to take a look at my personal site tbutler.org you've likely noticed the differences between the original theme. If you haven't and are curious where Dumbarton is going, go ahead and check it out. Some of the updates include ...

1. Themes: Using a data yml file in _data users will now be able to fully customize all UI components easily. The data file will contain a preset list of themes with options for the community to exapand upon them. The themes control font family, font size, component colors, nav bars, footers, and much more
2. Custom CSS Components: Seen in the updated tbutler.org site, Dumbarton will include a better suite of custom CSS such as shadows, animated borders, hover effects, and more.
3. Faster Load Times: One of the biggest flaws of the first Dumbarton theme was slow load times on images, especially on the blog section. The new UI reworks the blog giving it a faster blog layout.
4. Updated Contact Section: The new contact section includes support for easy PGP key copy buttons, and includes a better layout for integration with netlify forms.
