Scrolling sometimes stops working (MacOS 13.6.1)

My scrolling on my mouse sometimes completely stops working. I am on MacOS 13.6.1, and inverting my vertical scrolling direction for my mouse. I have been able to fix it by closing the app and reopening it, and disabling invert vertical scrolling, and then enabling it again.
However this has happened a few times. I know this is not a lot to go on, but I will monitor it and if it happens again note anything that might have been the cause (e.g. system update, running a game with different mouse settings that might be interfering etc.)
