Radio buttons / segmented control selected contrast

I'm having a hard time telling which of these is selected. I think there needs to be more of a contrast:

Agreed, the selected buttons are sometimes really hard to distinguish from non selected ones.

True. This also applies for the hover over the blue buttons.

+1 - toggles need a higher contrast... poor monitors might even have issues. darker shades would probably be fine at minimum

There's slightly more contrast right now with the updated active button states, and I just pushed a change to the text to lighten it with rgba colors (in everything but IE7-8). We'll revisit in 2.x if need be.
