Bootstrap Modal data-dismiss + jquery.validate.js

I have a form inside a modal that uses the jQuery modal plugin with a data-dismiss for a cancel button. Whenever I import jquery.validate.js, the data-dismiss does not work, but as soon as I pull the jquery.validate.js out of my script imports, the data-dismiss works again. Is there a workaround for this?

We can't provide support for this, sorry. Ask on the mailing list to see if others have run into it. If there is an easy fix, we can incorporate it.
