[1.12.2] Is there a way to remove a limit for hardness?

Hi there,

I used this script to make logs unbreakable by hand.

Setting the hardness to 10000 will make the log take 80 seconds to break, and setting it to 10000 only sets it to exactly 100 seconds. So there seems a limit. Is this limit from Minecraft or the mod itself?/
