When it is late in the night, and I don't want to disturb anyone in the house with my tinkering or gameplay, I turn the system volume down all the way but if I reboot the device for whatever reason (maybe after installation or uninstallation of some software), the boot sound still plays despite the volume being set at its lowest before the boot. So I have no control over the volume of the boot sound.
What did you expect to happen?
I expect the system (including the volume during boot) to respect the volume level I've set
Output of rpm-ostree status
Hardware
Steam Deck LCD
