Support for fuzzy search via Search API

Summary

The current built in Search API only supports exact word matching - allowing a fuzzy search would make this more usable.

This was raised in 2022: Feature Request: partial / fuzzy search for content #85

The the final comment in 2023 was "we likely will not be starting this work until end of 2024 at the earliest". Did this work get underway, are there plans to still support this?

Not a lot more to share at this time. While we still want to make search improvements, we've been unable to priortise them over other more valuable features. We'll share more information as soon as we have it.
