Prevent swipe if scrolling vertically (mobile)

When scrolling down the page on mobile as soon as I touch the carousel it slightly wants to swipe eventhough I only want to scroll down.

Only swipe if I really swipe left or right!

there is a property on hand I don't know if this is intended to solve this issue. Its called preventScrollOnSwipe. The problem with this is, as soon as I start swiping left and right I am stuck there then. I cannot scroll vertically anymore. If the container takes up the entire screen the user would be stuck there forever...
