Before reporting your issue

  • I have confirmed that this issue does not happen when ExplorerPatcher is not installed
  • I do not have "register as shell extension" enabled
  • I have tried my best to check existing issues

Repro ExplorerPatcher versions

ExplorerPatcher - Version 22621.4317.67.1

Repro Windows Versions

Microsoft Windows 11 - Version 10.0.26100.2605

3rd party tweak software installed

None. Just Windows 11 in a VM installed from scratch.

Describe the bug

  1. Open ExplorerPatcher then go to the Other section
  2. Enable Disable rounded corner for application windows
  3. Restart File Explorer

Expected outcome

All opened windows should have straight corners.

Actual outcome

All opened windows have rounded corners. The option in ExplorerPatcher resets to the disabled state.

just updated to Windows 11 Pro 24H2 26100.2605 and rounded corners option automatically resets when file explorer is reset and it never sharpens the corners

@WANGXianru-PolyU - This problem is known, but it has not been solved for months. I gave up on ExplorerPatcher due to the issues and switched for StartAllBack. All this is happening because Microsoft literally made fun of Windows 7/8/10 fans who found themselves faced with an incomplete solution regarding Windows Explorer, the Start menu and the Taskbar. I have to use Windows for certain programs that don't run in Linux.
