It happened again: if you send a message and then switch room whilst it’s still sending, it can end up not shown in the timeline at all (https://matrix.to/#/!tAMgPDeOawUJMkFXVZ:matrix.org/$15228408455334285qtciM:matrix.org) |
This seems to be happening more frequently now. I am running the testflight (released Feb 19th 2019). Messages that go missing aren’t visible from any ios client until the cache is reloaded. For example, if I send a message from my ipad that ends up missing, it will not show up on the ipad AND it will not show up on my iphone. Reloading the cache on the iphone makes the message visible there, but it will only show up on the ipad if I reload that cache as well. I have also verified that the messages are actually being received (visible via an irc bridge as well as riot web ui) |
it's more and more frequent, and i had a particularly unpleasant instance when the app accidentally sent a VM in the background - which was then invisible in my view of the timeline until i forcequit and relaunched the app. It hugely impacts confidence in the app. |
Fixed with matrix-org/matrix-ios-kit#902 |
i sent a message in a room whilst syncing and immediately hit back. i then got a response in the room, but my own message was not shown in the timeline at all.
