In some (yet unknown) cases, the room badge stays after reading the room. It happens on 1.5.3 and prevents us from releasing.

It is vaguely related to #4796

When it happens the steps to reproduce are:

  • Have a room with unread messages. There are displayed with a badge in the room list
  • Open the room
  • Come back to the room list

-> The unread count badge is still on the room avatar.

Note: Sending a message in this room does not help to remove the badge
