Steps to reproduce

  1. Cast vote
  2. See results appear
  3. Change vote right away
  4. See screen flicker change to new vote, then flicker back to old vote, then back to new vote

@kittykat can you please take a look on recent version of Element to see if the bug is still there?
I can't reproduce it on Element 1.9.12

Still happening on 1.9.12 (20221115173329)

  1. Cast vote and then change it a few times in quick succession (took 3 changes for me)
  2. See results appear correctly, then start flickering weirdly, changing to new vote, then flicker back to old vote, then back to new vote
