I don't think this will be easy, because of the way that Nix works but it would be a nice to have.

I don't know how to use Nix, but I'm not opposed to this, would you be interested in getting this done?

I can look into it, but my time is pretty scarce. If I don't do it myself I will put some resources here for anyone to do.
