Since using the printf style mechanism the ordering of the substituted fields can be changed via positional argument specifiers. e.g. to the order like X,Y,Z use: %2$d/%3$d/%1$d/

Seems so hard to remember.
Perhaps allow also using %x %y and %z etc.
