just looking at the name and the id: calling it "Standard" in the title seems a bit redundant. and using typical w3c identifier conventions, maybe this should be media-session instead?

I would favor dropping "Standard" from the title as well.
I'm more reluctant about the shortname. I would say that the convention these days is to keep the repo ID for consistency and continuity with tools, when possible. For instance, the IDL of the Media Session spec gets automatically extracted and pushed to Web Platform Tests in the mediasession.idl file, initially named after the repo ID and now named after the /TR/ shortname. Same thing for references, mediasession being the entry point in Specref (and used in Picture-in-Picture).
