Yes, there's definitely much more to encode for tempos. It's barebones at the moment! Those two (label and visible) are solid additions, though the label might need some careful thought to accommodate optional text formatting. |

Possibly all labels need that. I see there is an open issue about text formatting. One of the difficulties an export from Finale will have with tempo markings is deciding where is the boundary between the tempo label and the metronome mark. It's easy enough to identify an expression that has a metronome marking, but it is not easy to figure out 100% of the time which portion of the text is the metronome marking. But it probably can be right the proverbial 80% of the time. |

It seems to me the
tempo
objects are missing some important attributes:label
(would allow for text to precede a metronome marking like "Andante con moto".)visible
(would control whether the metronome part of the tempo marking should appear.) I don't know how much playback information MNX intends to support, but tempo maps are pretty critical and a weak point in musicxml, at least with Finale exports.But since I am quite new to MNX, perhaps I have missed out on some discussions around this.
