This is some kind of Windows 11 and EqualizerAPO issue I think but I can't find any issues linked to there so thought I'd make a post here for others.

When I record myself talking in the standard recording tools everything seems to work fine. If you go into Windows Settings (System -> Sound -Properties), select you microphone, go to Microphone Test. There's two modes you can record with, "Default" or "Communications". Default works perfectly fine for me, Communications mode sounds distorted and weird. I have no idea how to change this or force things to not use "Communication's mode" tried for an hour and gave up on making this work.

Thought I'd post for others, or maybe someone has a solution!
