I found out what the problem is. It is related to another fix I made, which made it so you didn't have to save your page properties before the default component would show up on a page. But I did not account for the bg images. So I will have to go back and fix. In the meantime, try opening your page properties, then just hit "Save" on any page where this is happening. The bg images/styles should show.
