Installation process - newbie questions

Hi,
I really want to use RRC but finds major issues when trying to run this algo. I want to start from scratch but really don't understand how to install the caffe properly and have some questions about it -

1. Should I go to the official site (as referred in the installation) and download the caffe files and install from there?
2. If the answer for 1 is "no", can someone please elaborate about proper installation for dummies who are not familiar with fork versions
3. In case I don't want to train from scratch, is there anything else I should do before running rrc_test.py?

Any other tips and points that may help me through the process will be welcome
