Removing a Community Icon/Logo from Your Publication Record Page May Delete Everything!! #1062

Recently (November 4th), I uploaded an ebook under the DOI (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14035012) and the record page (https://zenodo.org/records/14035012). The ebook was already indexed under OpenAIRE Explore (https://explore.openaire.eu/search/publication?pid=10.5281%2Fzenodo.14035012). Everything was working smoothly, and we were close to reaching 500 downloads/views.

A few days ago, I added the ebook to a Zenodo Community. After it got accepted, a Community logo/image was added to the top of the ebook record. Zenodo provides the option to remove the image. As soon as I selected that option, all the files (ebook information, the upload, the DOI, and the record page) disappeared!

Is there a way to fix this? Is it possible to re-upload the ebook file and maintain the old DOI, since all our ebook advertising was based on that DOI?

If possible, please provide more details on what exactly you did, e.g. to "remove the image".

Thanks for the reply @alejandromumo . The Zenodo support team have sorted it out and the book record has been restored!

Thank you for providing more context, we managed to investigate this bug and it will be fixed.

I am closing this issue in favour of inveniosoftware/invenio-communities#1247 , where the development will be tracked

This has been resolved now, so adding/removing community branding from records works as expected.

We're doing a scan to fix existing records that might have invalid data (if that's the case for your record, please contact us on Zenodo support line).
