- put this repo somewhere global
- i.e.
/opt/dotfiles
- i.e.
- configure permissions to this directory depending on your needs
- 777 is easiest but least secure
- A group for this is most secure
- add global functionality
- inside of /bash/bash.bashrc add a source command to global_additions
- i.e.
source /opt/dotfiles/custom/global_additions.sh
- add user specific functionality
- source the includes file from each user account you want to add this to:
source /opt/dotfiles/includes.sh
- and/or can source files from individual modules
- source the includes file from each user account you want to add this to:
- Increase history size and improve history formatting
- Some GUI configs, like git branch on the prompt
- hyperjump for directory bookmarking and jumping
- some handy custom functions
- there's a number of modules in a TBI state for whatever reason, I either abandoned them or they were replace by something better
- they have a TBI file to indicate not usable
- keeping them because they have valuable learning info in them
