There were three rounds in this hackathon. Round one was the qualifying stage, which consisted of 30 multiple-choice questions on cybersecurity and two questions focused on the implementation of machine learning algorithms. A total of 12,000 people from around the world participated in this round. Our team was able to create a functional solution to classify files as either malware or benign, utilizing static and dynamic analysis through machine learning libraries. In the Second round of the hackathon, we developed machine learning code to differentiate network traffic as either DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) or normal. The final round was a presentation round where we had to show how we can implement the 2nd round solution.
