EFI OpenCore 0.8.8
With this release I can finally say bluetooth is supported!
I replaced the stock Realtek with the Intel 8260 at first, but bluetooth was not working because this icelake laptop might expect a CNVio card such as the more recent Intel 9560NGW, but I had some trouble enabling it in macOS since there was RFKILL enabled.
With the help of @ferdysopian we managed to fix it, and now I can finally listen to music with whatever BT device I want, or connect bluetooth keyboards, and maybe airdrop stuff 👀
EFI OpenCore 0.7.9
Changelog
This release has all the necessary updates to the config.plist for OpenCore 0.7.9, in addition to that the following kexts have been updated
Thanks to @acidanthera team:
- AppleALC
- VirtualSMC and plugins
- VoodooPS2Controller/Keyboard
- VoodooI2C
Thanks to @VoodooI2C team:
- VoodooI2C and satellites
- VoodooI2CHID
In addition to that, I've also updated the BIOS from F.21 to F.23, double checked the BIOS offsets and they're still the same to unlock hidden BIOS settings. Please note that after a BIOS update you'll have to unlock again every setting since it will be reset by the BIOS update.
N.B: PS-2 keyboard has issues in EDK2 Uefi Shell environment when launching RU.efi
from UEFI shell. I encourage to connect a USB keyboard to have a flawless input method to modify the BIOS matrices within RU.efi
