If the user accidentally inputs the log for the wrong volunteer and befriendee pair, then the user would have to delete the entire log since edit log does not allow for users to edit the volunteers or befriendee associated with it.

Is true, but unlikely to happen as it would require you to mistype both the befriendee and volunteer indexes, AND have those indexes be a valid pairing. Can probably be deferred.
