General tips

  • Hyphenate words like early game to early-game.
  • Be consistent with using is not and isn't.
  • LATEX is used for mathematical statement formatting (which our Technical Editor Conor_ can help out with).
  • Write out numbers that are under 10, like four.
  • kW has the first letter in lowercase, while MW and GW have their first letter in uppercase.
  • FFF#123 -> FFF #123
  • 5GW -> 5 GW
  • 6 °C -> 6°C

"Hence", "therefore" and "however" should have a comma after them

A comma should be placed whenever there's a breathing pause

Capitalizing the first word after a colon

Use the APA style discussed here.

According to APA Style, the first word after the colon is capitalized only if it begins a complete sentence. It is never ok to capitalize the word after a colon when the word introduces a list.
