  • Install v8.9 RC1 (r212934-wpcom)
  • Activate v8.9 RC1 for edge-stickered sites (r212947-wpcom)
  • Publish a Call for Testing post (p7DVsv-9ey-p2)
  • Draft public announcement and submit to Editorial for review
  • Update to v8.9 stable (r213093-wpcom, r213094-wpcom)
  • Close the Call for Testing post
  • Activate v8.9 for all sites
  • Request update for Atomic sites
  • Publish announcement posts

  • Clean up unused releases
    • 8.3.0 (D48505-code)
    • 8.7.1 (keep previous release)
    • 8.8.0
    • 8.9.0-rc.1
