This is a parent issue tracking the work planned for Event Hubs for the May update.
Code complete date: May 3rd, 2020

API design

  • API to control greedy claiming of partitions by the Event Processor
  • SharedKeyCredential

Renaming this epic to be for the July update.

In the May milestone, we released 5.2.0 of the @azure/event-hubs package with the below features

In the June milestone, we will focus on design for the below and implementing them in the July milestone.

  • Receiver Redirect
  • SharedKeyCredential
  • Customizing Load balancing strategy

Receiver Redirect and SharedKeyCredential features are moved to the Backlog

Version 5.2.2 was released with bug fixes
Version 5.3.0-preview.1 was released with options to configure the load balancing feature
