2016 Was The Hottest Year. Yes, Greenhouse Gases Are To Blame

This repository contains data and R code to recreate the graphics reported in the January 18, 2017 BuzzFeed News article "2016 Was The Hottest Year. Yes, Greenhouse Gases Are To Blame."

Data

Data on the historical temperature record came from NASA. Data from NASA simulations of historical temperatures, estimating the effect of natural and human influences on climate, came via Bloomberg News.
