Electune is a communal way to build a playlist. At its core is a queue of songs which are built up from the spotify meta data api. The client application is used in conjunction so that all users can listen in to the queue for the same song playing at the same point all the time.
At the moment the project is predominantly being tracked using trello.
The project however is open source and if you feel there is something missing then please feel free to submit a pull request. It is asked that all requests are submitted with tests. If not then issues are also welcome.
Current status: <img src=“https://travis-ci.org/CallumD/Electune.png” />
This project is currently being built under 1.9.2 and 1.9.3 compatibility on the excellent travis.
Head over to callum.mine.nu:81/ create an account and start adding songs to the playlist. You need the client application in order to follow along.
Client for this application is: github.com/kvsm/electune_spotify_client
This is written as a spotify application. At the moment this requires a developer account within spotify. You can then set up the client using:
git clone https://github.com/kvsm/electune_spotify_client ~/Spotify/electune
This path is required as the github project name is not the same as the spotify application name to prevent confusion between the client and server applications.
Then open your spotify client and in the search enter:
spotify:app:electune
That should be you connected to the electune server happy listening!
