# Code of Conduct | ||
## Purpose | ||
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to establish guidelines for participating in and contributing to our open-source project. I strive to create an inclusive and welcoming community that promotes collaboration and respect for all participants. This document outlines the expected behavior and responsibilities of all individuals and/or companies involved in the project.
## Open-Source Commitment
Our project is open source, which means it is available for anyone to use, modify, and distribute. We encourage community participation, contributions, and the creation of derivative works based on this project. However, being open source does not negate the intellectual property rights of the original authors. It is important to respect and acknowledge the original authorship and contributions when using or modifying the project.
## Copyright and Attribution
When using or distributing our project, you are **REQUIRED** to retain and respect the copyright notices, author attributions, and license information provided in the project files. This includes, but is not limited to, copyright colophons in firmware files, logos, text, and other forms of identification embedded in the PCB or software.
## Responsibilities | ||
All participants in our project are **REQUIRED** to:
a. Respect Intellectual Property: Recognize and respect the intellectual property rights of others, including the original authors of the project. Do not remove or modify any copyright notices, author attributions, or license information.
b. Foster an Inclusive Community: Promote an inclusive and welcoming environment where individuals and/or companies of all backgrounds and experiences feel valued and respected. Discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
c. Encourage Collaboration: Promote collaboration, constructive feedback, and open communication among participants. Foster a culture of sharing knowledge and supporting one another to improve the project collectively.
d. Be Professional and Courteous: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with other participants. Refrain from personal attacks, derogatory language, or disruptive behavior that may hinder the project's progress.
e. Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer constructive feedback and suggestions with the aim of improving the project. Be considerate and respectful when expressing disagreements or criticisms.
## Enforcement | ||
If any participant or third party fails to adhere to this Code of Conduct, appropriate action may be taken, including but not limited to warnings, temporary or permanent bans, or other consequences deemed necessary by the project maintainers. The severity and consequences of any violation will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
## Reporting Issues | ||
If you observe or experience any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the project maintainers at [email protected]. All reports will be treated confidentially and will be thoroughly investigated. Please provide as much detail as possible to assist in the investigation process.
## Conclusion | ||
We believe that a diverse and inclusive community fosters innovation and drives the success of our project. By participating in and contributing to our project, you agree to adhere to this Code of Conduct and help us create a positive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Thank you for being part of our open-source project! |
