As of v0.3.0, 1-ups are a rare spawn. However, if they do appear in a game, they could have a few different effects.
- 1-up Mushroom: Gives the player an extra life.
- Poison Mushroom: Damages the player similar to touching an enemy. This works the same as the poison mushrooms in SMB2J.
- Swimming Mushroom: Allows the player to swim to the end of the level, regardless of the level type. This basically allows Mario to fly to the end of the level.
- Mystery Mushroom: This could have one of three different affects: 1-up, poison, or swimming. The palette of the mushroom may not reflect what it effect it will give, so be careful when picking one up!
- Bone Caster: Projectiles that are thrown upward and fall slowly to the ground.
- Coin Flinger: Projectiles that pass through enemies, but are thrown upward initially and move slower than fireballs.
- Cutter Flower: Projectiles that float through the air, but only one can be shot at a time. It can kill enemies that are normally immune to fireballs.
- Double Jump Star: Mario can't shoot any projectiles, but he can jump an additional time in the air!
- Fire Flower: The original Fire Flower from SMB1 that can shoot projectiles that bounce on the ground.
- Fire Star: Holding the B button causes Mario to rapidly shoot fireballs. These fireballs explode on contact with the ground.
- Hammer Suit: Similar to the Hammer Suit in Super Mario Bros. 3. Mario can throw hammers in an arc that can pass through objects and enemies.
- Luigi's Fire Flower: Fireballs that move slightly slower, but float through the air, in a similar fashion to Luigi's ability in Super Smash Bros.
- Pink Fury: Projectiles that are not stopped by physical objects. They will bounce up stairs and over pipes. Only one can be shot at a time.
- Poison Bubbles: Projectiles that bounce very high and can be difficult to aim. However, they can pass through objects and enemies.
- Power Wand: A quick and powerful projectile that can kill enemies effectively from a distance! However, it will shoot right over enemies that are close to Mario.
- Slime Flower: Shoots slow projectiles that move very slowly on the ground. However, they can pass through objects and enemies. Shooting a slime ball in front of Mario and following it can be a good strategy if you're willing to take it slow!
- Spinball Flower: Works somewhat similarly to the Spinball Flower in Super Mario Land. Projectiles will fly up to the top of the screen after touching the ground.
