We are excited to finally bring you OuterTune, a supercharged fork of InnerTune with several new features and enhancements!

Why OuterTune?

  • Fully fledged syncing of artists, songs, playlists and albums — both to and from your YouTube Music account
    • Remote listen history is viewable, but not modifiable (it's read only)
  • Support for playing YouTube Music songs AND local audio files (ex. MP3, FLAC, OGG) in one app
    • Import m3u playlists (for now only works with local media)
  • New library screen layout
    • Classic InnerTune layout can be enabled in settings
    • Configurable tab/page order and visibility (for both old and new layout)
      • Hide unwanted screens
      • Reorderable tabs
  • Multiple queues
    • Have you ever been midway through your jumbo sized playlist and accidentally clicked on a random song you didn't want to play... and oh no, you've lost your playlist position! Ever wanted to quickly flip back and forth between 2 playlists? Well now you can, and much more!
    • Per queue shuffle status & automatically re-shuffle at end of queue (when repeat is enabled
      )
  • Redesigned player & queue screens
    • Dynamic gradient & blur backgrounds
    • Player controls in the queue screen
  • Many more little enhancements and fixes

Migrating data from InnerTune

  1. Export a backup from within InnerTune
  2. Restore the backup from within OuterTune

** Note: Due to technical differences, not all data may transfer over. As of writing, only the original InnerTune up to version 0.5.10 has been tested.
