The Spotlight interface never stops flashing on notifications.

I received my new Volla X23.

I have an issue with the spotlight interface, when I activate it and I get a notification, the spotlight interface start flashing well. But, after cleaning or opening the notification, it never stops flashing.

Sorry, I missunderstood your initial post. You mean the LED circle is pulsating? Please note, that the LED circle has multiple functions or semantics. It shows for instance the loading status. You can toggle the different features in the system settings.

The circle flashes slowly. (like breaths)
I've set it to only torch and notifications.

The notification function is normal at first, but after a while it won't stop.

I had to deactivate it completely for it to stop.

I need to disable it to stop it.
And wait a moment.
If I re-enable it just after disable, it continues pulsating

I can have several notifications without worries, but there will be one that will block the spotlight interface in the pulsating loop

• if you have a missed notification like call

Animation continue.

I see that the LED on the front rests on as well.

Front led just turns off now after connect / disconnect USB wire to send the screenshot…

To avoid missunderstandings: You are talking about the LED Spotlight rinng, not the flashlight on the backside? The front has also a notification LED.

I had opened the issue for the spotlight ring around the cameras and flashlight.

The notification up front in my previous post is a new symptom.

Unfortunately I don't understand the issue. If you deactivate the all functions of the spotlight ring, no light is visible as expected. If you activate some of the functions the light is available also as expected. So which toggle causes an unexpected behaviour? Is it the notification toggle? And you realized, that the light never disappears after a missed notification even if you delete the notification?

When I activate the notification toggle > no light
get notification > circle pulsate.

Remove notification > circle stay pulsating.

The system work fine some time, but after a moment the circle never stop pulsating.

Only reboot or toggle off spotlight system to stop the circle light.

I'm sorry if I'm not clear enough.

I had the problem this morning.
I've changed the bubble notifications features for Facebook Messenger, and the circle turns off.
(Allow Messenger to show bubbles in phone settings)
I keep watching.

I'm not sure if it's related.

For the front LED. I can reproduce the issue.
When I pick up a call with the screen locked, the LED turns on.
After hangup, the LED stays Solid.

I can turn it off by plugging / unplugging the phone

If I don't pick up, the LED stays solid while the screen is awake.
when screen turn off, the LED flash for the missed call.
clear the notification > LED stop flashing.

Maybe open another issue for this ?

Wrong way, issue still present this afternoon.

Ringing the phone causes the call animation, which negates the issue.

For the spotlight ring, I disable it, it's unusable in this state. Maybe I have an app which causes the problem.

For general information.
If you have set up a work profile, e.g. using SHELTER, you must also deactivate the Spotlight Ring there, if you do not want it to be active.
It is not enough to deactivate it in the personal profile.
I found this out myself on the X23.

I strongly recommend, not to user shelter or similar apps, that manages the devices. For securoty reasons we will never recommend or officially support system extensions.

I am also having this issue on the newest version. It only happens if spotlight ring is set to notify of messages. It will work a few times properly but eventually will keep slow pulsing the spotlight ring even after all motivations are cleared. If does not seem to be related to any app as I have most of them disabled for the spotlight ring excepting email, msgs and phone. Turning off the ring will stop the pulsing however turning it back on, or only turning off messages it will keep pulsing until I restart the device.

I didn't see any updates. I tested it today again. Works for awhile then I have to shut off spotlight ring for messages and restart my phone to have it not continuously pulse on and off. Always works great for a bit.
