What is WifiCayote?

Using a cheap $4 dollar ESP8266 Device(wifi chip/board) and a Linux Distribution, you can own a Fake Wifi network that opens a website of your choice on that local network. I have a Kali Linux Distro running on a VM on my computer. I developed a tool(WifiCayote) that will flash the required firmware to the ESP8266, and Locally-Host the website to the fake Wifi network.

How it Works:

Using a Linux Distro we are able to Locally Host a website of our choice. Regularly it is next to impossible to get strangers(in a public place) to click on a Rickroll link, even if we develop the website ourselves. That's why we need the wifi device(ESP8266). The ESP hosts a wifi network that gets broadcasted as "Free Wifi", and like regular free networks, it takes you to a Login/Terms of Use page. The esp doesn't have enough memory to host a video(rickroll)...That's why we connect to the fake network with our linux machine, host the website...and when the User clicks the network...BOOM...I got you! Rickroll!

How Mine Looks Completed:

1.Setup 2.Wifi Capture 3.Wifi Page 4.Local Host 5.Rickroll!
This is the Setup Page for Wifi Cayote. Just follow the Instructions! User Clicks on the Wifi...Believing that it's the Free Public Wifi User Agrees to terms and Conditions Page. Appears real. User Believes it's a real login(running Apache Web Server) Succer! I got you!
